Local Outreach
Shelter meals, school tutoring, senior visits, and one big citywide serve day every September.
Local Outreach is how Fernbrook shows up for Maplewood the other six days of the week. Teams cook monthly at the Maplewood shelter, tutor readers at Alder Elementary, and visit seniors who spend too many evenings alone.
Every September, Serve Maplewood Day puts hundreds of volunteers into parks, schools, and homes across the city in a single morning. Most people find their lane by trying two or three.

Yes, and please do. Serving teams are open to anyone who wants Maplewood to flourish, whatever you believe. About half the volunteers at Serve Maplewood Day do not attend Fernbrook at all.
